Join Conversations That Move Communities Forward

ITNAmerica hosts virtual and in-person events throughout the year that inform, connect, and strengthen the field of community-based transportation. These gatherings offer practical information, candid dialogue, and real stories from the people at the heart of the work.

Attendees can expect a wide range of programming—from grant writing sessions for small nonprofit transportation providers to thoughtful discussions with volunteer drivers, executive directors, and older adults who rely on these services. Many events also include moments of recognition and celebration, such as our annual Volunteer of the Year Awards. The majority of ITNAmerica events are free and open to the public.

Brian Komar | Richard Pain | Clayton Fong | Bill Turenne | Katherine Freund

Communities across the United States depend on volunteer drivers and nonprofit transportation providers to connect older adults and people with mobility challenges to healthcare social events and all the things that make life good.

The 2026 Philanthropic Collaborative will examine how America’s Volunteer Driver Center advances a coordinated grassroots strategy to recruit volunteer drivers at scale while strengthening local nonprofit transportation programs.

This national conversation will bring together leaders from philanthropy, healthcare, business, and government, along with voices from the field who deliver and rely on volunteer transportation every day.

Featured Speakers

  • Nancy LeMond, Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer, AARP
  • Andy Lowe, Executive Director, New England Rural Health Association

Additional speakers include nonprofit transportation leadership, a volunteer driver, and a rider.

Registration is free and open to the public. Sign up here.
