Make a Difference in Your Community. It’s fun.

Volunteer driving is more than just giving a ride—it’s a chance to connect. Cars become little rolling living rooms, where conversations flow, music plays, and meaningful moments happen. When you volunteer, you see the face and hear the voice of the person you’re helping. You’re making a direct, personal impact—and it’s easier than you might think.

How it Works

  • Sign up through America’s Volunteer Driver Center (AVDC)
Use the AVDC platform to view nonprofit and government-affiliated transportation providers in your community that are looking for volunteer drivers. Click here to sign up and explore providers near you.
  • Connect with a provider
Once you’ve found a provider in your area, they’ll walk you through their onboarding process—which usually includes orientation, a background check, and basic training.
  • Drive when it works for you
Set your own schedule based on your availability. Most programs offer flexibility, and even a few hours a month can go a long way.
